Same 80 kg a day, on 340 W
The AP-78P is the efficiency model in KAISON’s 80kg cube ice class. It matches its siblings at 80 kg of clear cube ice per 24 hours, but draws 340 W rather than 380 W — roughly 11% less. On a machine that runs every day of the year, that difference compounds into a meaningful line on the electricity bill, which is why this is the model distributors tend to lead with for hotels, canteens and any account where the unit never really switches off.
The cabinet is 510 x 450 x 820 mm — taller than the others and no deeper — with a 12 kg built-in bin.

Inside the machine
Wanbao compressor
Getting full output at reduced power comes down to the refrigeration circuit rather than any single trick. The AP-78P pairs a high-end domestic Wanbao compressor with the same evaporator technology as the rest of the class, and takes its efficiency from how they are matched.
Nickel-plated purple copper evaporator
Purple copper conducts heat out of the ice mould faster than aluminium, so each cycle finishes sooner and the compressor spends less time running — the direct mechanism behind the lower consumption figure. Food-grade nickel plating keeps the surface corrosion-free and the cubes clear.
Dual water inlet
Direct mains connection or bottled / gallon water, both standard.
201 stainless steel housing
201 stainless steel construction with a white protective film applied at the factory for transit.
Which 80kg model is right?
- AP-78P (this model) — 340 W, 12 kg bin. Lowest running cost; best where the machine works continuously.
- KM-78 — 20 kg bin, 380 W. Largest reserve for sharp peaks.
- KX-78 — 480 mm wide, 15 kg bin, 380 W. Narrowest cabinet.
For lower volumes see the KS-36 at 40 kg a day; for the whole range, the cube ice machine page lists every model by capacity.
