Built for the peak, not the average
An 80kg machine that empties its bin at seven in the evening is an 80kg machine only on paper. The KM-78 addresses that directly: it carries a 20 kg storage bin, the largest of KAISON’s three 80kg cube models, so there is more finished ice standing ready when demand arrives all at once.
Production is 80 kg per 24 hours of clear square cube ice at 380 W, air-cooled. The cabinet is 515 x 570 x 785 mm — deeper than its siblings, which is where the extra bin volume comes from.

Nickel-plated purple copper evaporator
A larger bin only helps if the machine can refill it quickly once the rush has passed. The purple copper evaporator keeps freeze cycles short, and its food-grade nickel plating resists corrosion so cube clarity holds up over years of heavy duty.
Wanbao compressor
The high-end domestic Wanbao compressor is specified for stability under sustained load — the KM-78’s normal working pattern is a hard draw-down followed by a long recovery, and that is harder on a compressor than steady running.
Dual water inlet
Mains tap connection or bottled / gallon water, both supported as standard.
201 stainless steel housing
201 stainless steel panels for wear and rust resistance in wet service areas, protected in transit by a white factory-applied film.
Which 80kg model is right?
Same 80 kg daily output across the class; the trade-off is buffer against footprint and power:
- KM-78 (this model) — 20 kg bin, 380 W, 515 mm wide and 570 mm deep. The peak-demand choice.
- KX-78 — 15 kg bin, 380 W, narrowest at 480 mm. The tight-space choice.
- AP-78P — 12 kg bin, 340 W. The lowest-running-cost choice.
