The KX-78 is the compact member of KAISON’s 80kg cube ice family. Its cabinet is 480 x 450 x 780 mm — the smallest footprint of the three 80kg models — while still producing a full 80 kg of clear cube ice every 24 hours into a 15 kg built-in bin.
That combination matters when a machine has to go into a run of cabinetry that already exists. Doubling your ice capacity usually means finding more floor; with the KX-78 it often does not.

Inside the machine
Wanbao compressor
Pushing 80 kg a day out of a 480 mm cabinet puts real demand on the refrigeration circuit. The KX-78 uses a high-end domestic Wanbao compressor for that reason — it sustains rated output in warm kitchens rather than tailing off as ambient temperature climbs.
Nickel-plated purple copper evaporator
The purple copper core moves heat out of the mould fast enough to keep cycle times short at this output level, and the food-grade nickel plating protects the surface so cubes stay clear and odourless.
Dual water inlet
Direct tap connection for plumbed installations, bottled or gallon supply where there is no line. Both are standard, so the same SKU covers a fitted restaurant and a mobile beverage unit.
201 stainless steel housing
201 stainless steel throughout, shipped under a white protective film that comes off after installation.
Which 80kg model is right?
All three make 80 kg a day. They differ in bin size, power draw and footprint:
- KX-78 (this model) — narrowest at 480 mm, 15 kg bin, 380 W. Pick it when space is tight.
- KM-78 — 20 kg bin, the largest buffer in the class, 380 W. Pick it for sharp service peaks.
- AP-78P — 340 W, the lowest running cost, 12 kg bin. Pick it for continuous daily operation.
