At HOTELEX Shanghai 2025, one of the world’s largest hospitality trade shows, Ningbo KAISON Refrigerating (Booth 5.1A30) presented itself as an original manufacturer with full OEM/ODM capabilities — showing how a Chinese company with 27 years of commercial refrigeration experience is stepping from behind the scenes to the forefront.
Located in Cixi, Zhejiang — China’s “home of home appliances” — KAISON enjoys significant industrial-cluster advantages. Its 20,000 m² factory sits close to suppliers of compressors, condensers and other core components, giving it supply-chain responsiveness and cost control. The company has an annual ice machine capacity of 80,000 units, 15 years of ice-maker manufacturing experience, a team of refrigeration engineers, a fully equipped R&D lab, several national patents, FCC/CE/RoHS certifications, and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management-system certifications.
KAISON’s ice machine series — covering cube, flake, snowflake, nugget, crescent and spray ice — drew strong attention. “We have been looking for an OEM supplier that delivers high quality and flexible customization,” a Middle-East buyer commented. “KAISON’s samples fully meet our requirements.” The company has established stable OEM/ODM partnerships with over 30 domestic and international brands and more than 10 leading cross-border e-commerce platforms, offering both spot supply and fully customized solutions.
Industry insiders see KAISON as a “hidden champion” in China’s commercial refrigeration niche. Commercial ice makers account for over 50% of the global ice machine market, with North America holding about 40% share, while the commercial refrigeration solutions market is evolving toward intelligent ecosystems at a projected 6.2% CAGR from 2026 to 2032. KAISON’s three-pronged strategy — technology, capacity and customization — fits the growing demand for modular, tailored solutions.
With annual output of RMB 150 million and products exported worldwide, KAISON is transitioning from “making products” to “doing R&D,” building the capability to serve large international customers. As global restaurant chains, new-style tea drinks and cold-chain logistics keep expanding, its appearance at HOTELEX Shanghai signaled that Chinese manufacturers — following the paradigm of independent technology, flexible capacity and global compliance — are moving from followers to co-builders.
